Whether building a house or building a relationship, a strong foundation is key.

But the latter doesn't always prove to be sturdy. And it appears Christina Hall (née Haack) and Josh Hall’s hearts are no longer each other’s homes.

The Christina on the Coast star and the real estate agent recently filed for divorce after less than three years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their breakup.

In their filings, Christina and Josh revealed they privately tied the knot in October 2021—six months before fans initially thought they wed. She listed their date of separation as July 7, 2024 while he put down July 8.

The news comes about two months after HGTV announced Christina and Josh—who starred on Christina in the Country—would appear on a show with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa called The Flip Off in 2025 where the duos would “compete to see who can find, buy, renovate and flip a house for the biggest financial gain (and a chance at major bragging rights).” A source tells E! the series is now continuing without Josh.

Christina and Tarek announced their breakup in 2016 after nine years of marriage and finalized their divorce two years later. The Flip or Flop costars share kids Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8, and Tarek also has 17-month-old son Tristan with wife Heather.

Christina meanwhile wed TV host Ant Anstead in 2018, and they welcomed son Hudson, 4, the following year. However, the pair split in 2020 and a judge signed off on their divorce the following year.

"I believe that everyone deserves to have love and find love and I hope that happens for me," Christina told E! News about her hopes for the future following her split from Ant. "But it would take a really special someone and my goal right now is just to focus on my kids and keeping my private life, as private as it can possibly be."

After all, navigating a relationship in the public eye is no easy feat. To check the relationship statuses of more HGTV stars, keep reading.

In 2022, the parents reached an agreement where they would continue to have joint legal and physical custody of the child, per court documents obtained by E! News.

Christina and Josh privately wed in October 2021—six months before fans learned about their marriage. Nearly a year later, they celebrated their union with a second ceremony in Hawaii.

But after less than three years of marriage, the couple filed for divorce—with the Christina in the Country star listing their date of separation as July 7, 2024 in her court documents and him stating July 8 in his.

Two months before the divorce filings, HGTV announced Christina and Josh would be starring on the show The Flip Off with her ex Tarek and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa in 2025. However, a source told E! News in July 2024 that the series is continuing without Josh.

Six years later, Drew and Linda got engaged. The two wed in 2018 and decided to start a family. However, the journey wasn't easy and they experienced fertility struggles.

Neither Jonathan nor Zooey will ever forget this episode of Carpool Karaoke.

The Property Brothers star and the New Girl alum met when they appeared on James Corden's show with their siblings in 2019.

They soon drove their relationship into the romantic lane and made their red carpet debut as a couple later that year. Zooey and Jonathan then got engaged during a trip to Scotland in August 2023.

According to People, the Brother vs. Brother host previously wed a woman named Kelsy in 2007, but they divorced after less than two years together.

Zooey then wed producer Jacob Pechenik, with whom she shares daughter Elsie (born in 2015) and son Charlie (born 2017), in 2015. As Joanna recalled to Today, she met Chip at her dad's Texas tire shop in 2001. And though she said he was an hour and a half late to their first date, she forgave him and they tied the knot in 2003.

That same year, Joanna and Chip—who'd already started flipping houses together—launched their store Magnolia Market. Over the next few years, the couple welcomed four children: Drake in 2005, Ella in 2006, Duke in 2008 and Emmie in 2010.

But it was in 2013 when hit show Fixer Upper premiered, leading them to grow an empire.

Four years later, the stars announced they were ending Fixer Upper after five seasons. At the time, they addressed speculation about whether fame took a toll on their relationship.

"We didn't want to push it, red line it, for so long that we woke up and realized we are at a point of no return," Chip told Today. "So we wanted to take a step back and focus on the thing that was absolutely the most important thing to us in the world, which is Jo and I's relationship. And it's funny, people in our inner circle, I mean, I tell 'em we're as healthy as we've ever been. I just didn't  want to continue pushing this envelope to the fullest extent, and we're really thankful that we had the opportunity to sort of step back and take a break."

They welcomed son Crew in 2018 and launched Magnolia Network in 2022. And after decades together, they've shown that while their love for shiplap is strong, their love for each other is even stronger.

The Home Town stars are college sweethearts.

"On December 7, 2004 @scotsman.co and I met in our college yearbook room about the feature story we were writing about him," Erin wrote on Instagram in 2019. "I was the design editor and for two years had noticed him, always the center of attention, everyone’s best friend, my biggest crush. December 8, we took the photos for the yearbook. December 9, we went on our first date and he met my mama. December 10, we looked at the Christmas lights in Mason Park. December 13, we decided we would get married someday."

That day came on November 22, 2008. Erin and Ben went on to welcome two daughters, Helen in 2018 and Mae in 2021.

After 18 years of marriage, the Masters of Flip stars announced their decision to split in December 2019.

“As most of you know, there is so much more to every story and ours is no different,” Kortney and Dave wrote in a joint statement on Instagram at the time. “What we want you to know, most of all is that we have the utmost love and respect for one another. We ask for kindness and understanding during this very difficult and private time.”

And as they started this next chapter, the parents to Jett, Sully, and Lennox noted, “We will always be a connected family and together, we will build a strong, new path.”

Kortney remarried in 2023, tying the knot with Ryan Vella.

Status: Married

As the name of their show suggests, the Married to Real Estate stars are married and have been since 2010. While they started dating six years prior, Egypt and Mike actually knew each other long before their romance.

"Mike and I were both working in our previous careers when we first met," Egypt explained to Authority Magazine in 2022. "I was an NYC radio personality and he was a DJ. The wisest words I ever received as a woman in entertainment was to NEVER date a co-worker in the industry. So, he and I met a few times and there was instant attraction, but we never pursued it."

However, everything changed after Mike came over to help with one of her home renovations.

"Sometime later, I was flipping one of my investment properties, and he showed up as one of the contractors who took over from the ones I fired," she continued. "I certainly looked at him differently after that. He was more than a DJ. He was also a businessman. Couple that with a tight t-shirt and toolbelt and I was intrigued.”

Fast-forward several years (and many house designs) later, the couple welcomed daughters Harper and Kendall. Egypt is also stepmom to Mike’s daughter Simone.

Dave and Jenny’s love story is sweet like the blueberries they grow on their farm.

As he recalled to About You Magazine, the Fixer to Fabulous couple met while working at Newell Rubbermaid after college and they got married in 2005.

Dave told the outlet they had moved to Arkansas to focus on his career as a builder but that they expected to return to Florida, where Jenny is from, after a few years. However, that all changed, he continued, after they found a home that they moved to Bentonville and restored. The general contractor and the designer have been there ever since and renovate more historic homes—with viewers now getting to watch the process.

“In April of 2016, one of the network executives reached out to her friends in the area,” Jenny added to About You. “They found this area to be very unique and thought it would be a great place to have a show for HGTV. She asked for recommendations for builders, and our names got thrown in the hat.”

The pair live in Arkansas with their five children: Ben and Nate who were born in 2010, Charlotte who was born in 2014, Sylvie whom they adopted at age 2 in 2014, and Luke who was born in 2019.
