Van Hunt both celebrated partner Halle Berry and made her the butt of a joke in honor of Mother's Day.

The singer-songwriter posted a photo of the "X-Men" star, shot from the side as the actress posed nude on a balcony, and shared the message "happy Mother's day from the bottom… of my heart."

"i wasn't s'posed to post that!" he added. "Butt…u hav to admit thassa badass… mutha right there."

Berry is a mother of two: 16-year-old daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry, whom she shares with Gabriel Aubry, and her 10-year-old son with ex-husband Olivier Martinez, Maceo-Robert Martinez.

Berry responded with a GIF of a gorilla spinning another gorilla in a harness, to which Hunt replied with lyrics from his song "Plum": "lord, why'd u give that girl a gorilla bump and make it the shape of a plum."

The photo looks similar to one the actress posted last year of herself naked and sipping wine on a balcony.

"I do what I wanna do," Berry captioned the April 8, 2023, photo.

Berry's Mother's Day post was more family-friendly.

"Happy Mother’s Day to all the glorious mothers of the world and especially my beautiful mother-in-law, DJ!" she wrote in a caption honoring Hunt's mother. "You’ve come into our lives and brought the sunshine with you ☀️ I so admire the way you love with such grace and style! When you shower us with your pearls, we are instantly made better! We love you so very much ❤️."

Hunt's photo of Berry comes as the Oscar winner, 57, is speaking out about destigmatizing menopause and putting her weight behind a bill titled Advancing Menopause Care and Mid-Life Women’s Health Act.

"That is why I’m here doing this work, because it has to be destigmatized. The shame has to be taken out of menopause," Berry said as bipartisan senators announced the legislation on May 2. "We have to talk about this very normal part of our life. Our doctors can’t even say the word to us let alone walk us through the journey."

Berry has been vocal about embracing herself physically and mentally as she ages.

"We're all going to get older. Our skin is going to shrivel up and we’re going to look different. I see things changing with my face and body, but I’ve never put all my eggs in that basket," Berry told AARP in January 2022. "I’ve always known that beauty is deeper than the physical body you’re walking around in."

When it comes to societal standards for aging women, Berry said she believes people "should look at us as jewels as we get older. … Because the older women get, the more formidable we are."
