The 1975 frontman Matty Healy is engaged to model Gabbriette Bechtel.

Bechtel announced the engagement by sharing photos wearing an engagement ring from Healy on her Instagram storyafter a night out at mutual friend Charli XCX's New York concert for her new album, "Brat." The black gem features diamonds on the stone and band.

"MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT," she captioned the photo and tagged Healy, who reshared the snap. Bechtel also shared a mirror selfie of herself wearing the ring.

According to The Evening Standard and People, Healy's mom, Denise Welch confirmed the news on her British talk show , actress and "Loose Women," telling her fellow co-hosts Bechtel "is everything that I would want in a daughter in law."

"I have known for a few weeks that Matty got engaged ... They went over to see their friends Charli and George in New York and I woke up this morning to the fact they've put it on Instagram," the actress and co-host told her fellow panelists.

Welch added that "he's got engaged to Gabriella Bechtel, Gabbriette she's known as. Black diamond, he had it made for her," saying that she "couldn't be more thrilled, we couldn't be happier."

Matty Healy engagement follows rumored Taylor Swift romance

The "It's Not Living (If It's Not With You)" star's engagement comes one year after ending his rumored romance with Taylor Swift.

The 1975 member allegedly split from Swift, whose "The Tortured Poets Department" album tracks such as "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" are rumored to be about Healy, after a short romance last summer. Swift's "But Daddy I Love Him" also sparked speculation.

After Swift and Healy went their separate ways, tabloids reported that the "Chocolate" singer rekindled with model and on-again, off-again girlfriend Meredith Mickelson. Swift made headlines with her post-Healy romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
