Four years after Major League Baseball abruptly moved its annual All-Star Game out of Georgia, the Atlanta Braves will get their chance to play host to the 95th Midsummer Classic in 2025.

MLB announced on Thursday that Truist Park in suburban Cobb County will be the site of the All-Star Week festivities, roughly 19 months from now. It will be the third time the Braves have hosted, following games at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium in 1972 and Turner Field in 2000.

Truist Park was scheduled to be the site of the 2021 All-Star Game, but MLB changed its mind in response to new laws passed by the Georgia legislature that disproportionally impacted minority voters. The game ended up being played at Coors Field in Denver.

"As a model of success on and off the field, the Braves deserve to host the All-Star Game. Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta will provide fans a world-class experience in 2025," MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said in a news release announcing the decision.
