Massive stash of fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, guns found in New York home; Queens man charged
More than five months after a contractor was shocked to find a huge stash of guns and drugs worth more than than $10 million inside a New York City home, a man is now facing more than 100 charges in the case.
The stash was left in an abandoned home in Queens and included 8 kilograms of fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine, and about 1.5 million small envelopes containing fentanyl and heroin, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced on Wednesday.
Also found in the home were 12 loaded guns and five ghost gun kits.
"One can't even calculate how many lives would have been cut short or ruined by the millions of dollars worth of lethal narcotics and deadly weapons that were found," Katz said in a news release. "What we do know for certain is that our families, friends, and neighborhoods are all safer thanks to this massive seizure."

Massive stash was found back in May
A contractor stumbled upon the stash on May 30 after he was hired following the recent sale of the home, prosecutors said in the news release.
The contractor took a bunch of photos of the stash, called 911 and left. At some point after the contractor left, prosecutors say surveillance video captured a man running to and from the abandoned property with two coolers.
Based on the photos taken by the contractor, they say the coolers were loaded with drugs.
Police served a search warrant on the home the next day, uncovering the stash, which also included more than 200 rounds of assorted ammo for 9 mm, .40-calibur and .38-calibur guns, and 25 high-capacity magazines.

Who is charged in the case?
Victor Rodriguez, 43, of Queens, was arrested and arraigned on Oct. 27 on 112 weapons and drugs charges. His next court appearance is set for Friday.
His attorney, Dawn Maria Florio, did not immediately return USA TODAY's messages seeking comment on Thursday.
Prosecutors say he's the man captured on surveillance video carrying coolers from the property and that among the items in the house were two parking summons for an SUV tied to Rodriguez.
Rodriguez could face 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
